Gender and feminism influencing sexual violence and rape culture
“Sexual assault and violence against women has been a long-standing issue in Australia, and its prevalence in our societies is frightening and disheartening. Reesa Navani, a 16-year-old student, passionately discusses our place in fostering a rape culture, and the influence of feminism on this idea. Ultimately, she hopes to inspire us to question why sexual assault has become so commonplace that it is an experience shared by women worldwide, and urges us to no longer ignore this growing problem.”
