“Latinx stereotypes are all around us, and they seem to come from everywhere. In her talk, Wendy discusses how much of this comes from Hollywood, and what we need to do to change this. Wendy Echeverria is a senior at Glencoe High School. She is passionate about advocating for her Latinx culture and publishes her essays on her website. Wendy’s experiences in and outside of school have inspired her to pursue her passion within education, and thus plans to become a high school Ethnic Studies teacher.”

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
