Misi Tagaloa Has a Vision for Leadership in the First District
Misi Tagaloa is a candidate for the open First District Long Beach City Council Seat. The 25-year resident of the district is CEO of the nonprofit Canopy Communities “which creates, maintains and rehabilitates affordable housing in the city.” Tagaloa is also the Senior Pastor at Second Samoan Congregational Church at 7th and Cedar.

The CEO and Pastor is very upfront about the importance of ethics in both his own religious life and the need for it in politics. Misi Tagaloa has high expectations for public leaders.
“This whole notion that we can all come together and create a future that’s yet to be.”
Tagaloa is challenging elected and community leaders to be courageous.
“…and that if we were just courageous enough to let go of who we are today for what we could be tomorrow. That’s politics in its best form.”
Misi Tagaloa sat down with PalacioMagazine.com in a small echo-filled room to discuss his vision for both leadership and the community of the First District.
