The Housing Crisis Horizon in California: A Resource Compilation

There is a Housing Crisis in California. That much can be agreed upon. It is the solutions that escape agreement. As part of an ongoing discovery project, PalacioMagazine.com has been researching both text articles and videos about the subject. From the California State Legislature to Newspaper Editorials, there is a wide range of causes and solutions offered. What has become obvious are the three elements that are needed for solutions are in short supply: land and density, money, and the cooperation of local government and residents. Trying to get all three to work together is part of the challenge facing those who are looking for solutions. More on that in future segments.

We are interested in hearing and presenting the many voices that are discussing causes and solutions. If you find a video or text article on the subject, please send the link to antonioruiz@palaciomagazine.com.

“Homelessness has increased in Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles by double digits in the past two years. Experts point to the low supply as a main cause of homelessness and the crisis in housing affordability. ABC10 reporter, Lilia Luciano, explains why the state’s ambitious housing bill crashed.”

Don’t Blame Developers For The Housing Crisis, Blame The Homeowners
