College student Nyobio Yorke recounts his experiences as a refugee, his journey to America and his hopes for a future where we all carry home with us, wherever we go.

Nyonbio Yorke was born in Ivory Coast of Liberian parents. In 2010 he and his mother moved to the United States as refugees. In 2015 Nyonbio joined Jefferson College’s soccer team where he serves as one of two captains and is on the Student Senate. He will graduate this May and attend Lake Erie College in Ohio to play soccer and study accounting.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
