Awakening the Dreamer: Climate.Community.Connection Symposium
On Saturday July 9th, the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium will be held at The EXPO Arts Center (4321 Atlantic Ave) from 2pm-7pm. This is an interactive cross generational & cultural conversation to serve as a catalyst for a Long Beach response to climate change.
Awakening the Dreamer is for anyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of the current state of our world. The goal is to engage attendees to take action to create environmental sustainability, spiritual fulfillment, and social justice.
The Awakening the Dreamer Agenda
In Awakening the Dreamer, attendees will explore interrelated aspects of the world they live in. They’ll hear from some of the world’s leading experts on topics as diverse as the Earth’s biodiversity and the reality of socioeconomic disparity throughout the world.
Attendees will leave the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium empowered. A follow up event to this symposium, aimed to ignite local action, is scheduled for July 28th, 6-8pm, location TBD.
