“Montgomery, the majority-Black state capital of Alabama, made history this week by electing its first Black mayor. 67 percent of the city’s voters chose Steven Reed to become their first black Mayor in a historic election in the same year as the 200th anniversary of Montgomery’s incorporation as a city. Mayor-elect Reed spoke with Roland Martin during Wednesday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about his win and about his plans for the city of Montgomery.”
