Celebrating Latino Excellence
Centro C.H.A. (Community Hispanic Association) will honor ten Latino leaders at the 18th Annual Nuestra Imagen Awards, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Grand Long Beach Event Center. The Nuestra Imagen Awards is an annual fundraiser to honor notable women and men that make outstanding contributions to improve the quality of life for our children, their families and communities in the City of Long Beach.
“This is the Latino community’s opportunity to not only recognize some of the best in our community,” explains Jessica Quintana, President and Executive Director, Centro C.H.A., “but to also celebrate all of our community’s contributions to Long Beach.”
The city’s first Latino Mayor, Dr. Robert Garcia, will be the honorary keynote speaker. “This is more than just celebrating these leaders. Latinos are a diverse group of people who work tirelessly to take care of their families and their neighborhoods.” The Mayor added, “We should continuously spotlight and celebrate all of their hard work that helps make Long Beach one of the most diverse cities in America.”
Proceeds will further the mission of Centro C.H.A. which is to provide transformation to advance the quality of life for vulnerable youth, their families, and neighborhoods in the City of Long Beach.
