“Liliana shares her experiences with the movement at Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline and explains the importance of today’s Indigenous Rising movements. Liliana Tamayo is Sicangu Lakota, raised on the Rosebud Reservation. She currently attends the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is the Vice President of the Inter-tribal Student Council on campus and a member of AISES. She is a mentor to Native students who attend Omaha Public Schools.
