Long Beach Unified School Board, District 2: Felton Williams

The incumbent and President of the Long Beach Unified School Board, Felton Williams, won re-election. He defeated his opponent, Jessica Vargas-Alvarez with 3,154 or 68.31% of the cast ballots. Final unofficial results reveal that only 4,906 votes were cast in the District. There are 46,593 registered voters in this District. That’s a 10.53% voter participation rate.

Dr. Felton Willams strives to maximize the learning potential of every student by focusing on programs that will enhance and motivate students to fulfill their educational goals such as by giving students the ability to earn college credit through the Ethnic Studies program thus increasing graduation rates.
