Defining an Empowered Woman
Whether it’s profession, position, or education, many factors influence our perception of what empowers a woman. However, all of these are not necessarily the root of empowerment. Dorothy Ombajo, who heads all Kenyan Country Operations with The Pangea Network (an international nonprofit dedicated to positive change in communities), speaks on what defines such women.
Dorothy Ombajo is a human rights attorney who leads all Kenyan Country Operations working with Pangea Network. She began working with Pangea in 2007 and has served as County Director since 2009. As head of the field office in Kenya, Dorothy’s primary role is to oversee and provide education, training and structural support to our cooperatives. With more than a decade of field experience, Dorothy is a gifted trainer and mentor who continues to spread joy alongside the women and children of The Pangea Network.
